Students attended a Health and Social workshop earlier this month, to gain an understanding of a Health and Social course and to learn how health and social service providers use different styles of communication methods to communicate with service users.
Another part of the workshop was to introduce the students to the skills required in order to complete the role of a health and social practitioner. Students were given a variety of practical tasks to complete in groups using a range of health equipment that may often be found in a health role.
The workshop was an insight into the day to day duties required in the health profession, which gave students a feel for what their future career may look like on a daily basis. Students found the workshop extremely beneficial and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
